Hard water contains dissolved calcium and magnesium minerals measured in Grains Per Gallon (GPG). Anything above 7 GPG is considered hard. At 18 GPG, Houston homeowners deal with nearly three times that level every day — silently damaging appliances, drying out skin and hair, leaving scale on fixtures, and shortening the life of water heaters and plumbing. A professionally installed water softener eliminates these problems at the source.

Our Water Treatment Systems

Water Softener

Water Softener
Salt-Based Ion Exchange · Fleck 5600SXT

Technology

Fleck 5600SXT Digital Metered Control Valve — the most trusted control valve in professional water treatment. Automatic on-demand regeneration. 10% crosslink resin for superior chlorine resistance and longevity.

What It Removes
  • Calcium & magnesium (hardness)
  • Scale-forming minerals
  • Hard water deposits
Benefits
  • No scale on fixtures & appliances
  • Silky skin & hair every shower
  • Spot-free dishes & glassware
  • Extends water heater life by years
  • Up to 60% less soap & detergent
3-Stage Pre-Filter

3-Stage Pre-Filter
Whole-House Cartridge System

Stage 1 — Sediment

Removes sand, rust, silt, and debris before water reaches your softener or appliances.

Stage 2 — Carbon Block

Removes chlorine, chloramines, bad taste, odor, and VOCs. Critical for Houston city water.

Stage 3 — KDF-85

Reduces iron, hydrogen sulfide, and heavy metals. Extends media life.

Why It Matters

Houston's chloramines degrade softener resin faster than chlorine alone. The pre-filter removes them before they reach your resin bed.

Reverse Osmosis System

Reverse Osmosis System
5-Stage Under-Sink Drinking Water

System Details
  • 5-stage under-sink filtration
  • Removes up to 99% of contaminants
  • Dedicated faucet installed at kitchen sink
  • 50–75 gallons per day capacity
What It Removes

Fluoride, arsenic, lead, chlorine, bacteria, heavy metals, nitrates, pharmaceuticals, PFAS.

Why Add RO?

A softener adds trace sodium. An RO removes everything — including sodium — giving you bottled-quality water from your tap. Alkaline upgrade +$100 raises pH to 7.5–8.5.

Alternative & Specialty Systems

Salt-Free TAC Conditioner

Salt-Free TAC Conditioner
Template-Assisted Crystallization · No Salt · No Discharge

Scale prevention without sodium — sized by flow rate, not grain capacity

How It Works

Template-Assisted Crystallization (TAC) converts dissolved calcium & magnesium into harmless microscopic crystals that cannot adhere to pipes or appliances — no salt, no brine tank, no drain line, ever.

What It Prevents
  • Scale buildup on pipes, fixtures & appliances
  • No sodium added to your water
  • No brine discharge — no water district restrictions
Salt-Free vs. Salt-Based

Does not produce the "slippery" feel of ion exchange. Best for homeowners who want scale prevention without salt maintenance. Available in Packages 5 & 6.

AIO All-In-One Tank

AIO All-In-One Tank
Air Injection Oxidizing · Self-Backwashing · No Cartridges

Two versions: Catalytic Carbon (city water) or Iron & Sulfur (well water)

How It Works

An air pocket oxidizes contaminants; catalytic media filters them out. Backwashes automatically 1–2× per week — no cartridges, no user action ever. Media lasts 7–10 years.

Carbon AIO — City Water (Package 3)
  • Removes chlorine, chloramines & VOCs
  • Removes light iron (up to 2 PPM)
  • Zero cartridge replacements vs. 3-stage pre-filter
Iron & Sulfur AIO — Well Water (Package 4)
  • Removes iron up to 7 PPM, manganese up to 2 PPM
  • Eliminates hydrogen sulfide (rotten-egg odor)
  • Must precede softener to prevent resin fouling

How a Complete System Works

Water enters your home, passes through each stage in sequence, and comes out clean — everywhere.

System Diagram
① 3-Stage Pre-Filter
Water enters the home and passes through three cartridge stages: Stage 1 sediment removes sand, rust & debris. Stage 2 carbon block removes chlorine, chloramines & odor. Stage 3 fine filter removes remaining particles. Protects every downstream component.
② Catalytic Carbon AIO Tank
An air pocket at the top oxidizes contaminants; catalytic carbon media then filters them out. Removes chloramines, VOCs, light iron & hydrogen sulfide. Self-backwashes 1–2× per week automatically — no cartridges, no user action. Media lasts 7–10 years.
③ Water Softener
Ion-exchange resin beads swap calcium & magnesium (hardness minerals) for sodium. Eliminates scale on fixtures, appliances & plumbing. Fleck 5600SXT control valve meters usage and regenerates automatically using salt from the brine tank. Soft water flows to every tap in the home.
④ Brine Tank & Regeneration
The brine tank holds salt pellets used to recharge the resin bed. During regeneration, brine flushes the resin — displacing trapped hardness minerals down the drain line. Holds 250–300 lbs of salt; refills approximately every 6–8 weeks. We show you exactly how before we leave.

Choosing the Right System Size

All systems are sized by household size, number of bathrooms, and Houston's 18 GPG water hardness.

Grain Capacity Tank Size Household Size Bathrooms Best For Salt / Regen
32,000 8" × 44"1–2 people1–2 Singles, couples, small homes~6 lbs
64,000 12" × 52"5–6 people3–4 Larger families, high water use~12 lbs
80,000 13" × 54"6+ people4–5+ Large homes, very high usage~16 lbs
Not sure which size you need? At your free water test we measure your exact water hardness, assess your household water use, and recommend the right system — at no charge and with no obligation.
About Your Brine Tank (Salt Tank): Every system includes a brine tank. The standard brine tank holds 250–300 lbs of salt and typically refills every 6–8 weeks for a Houston household. We set up your system and show you exactly how and when to add salt before we leave.
