Common Questions

Houston's water typically measures between 15–20 grains per gallon (GPG) — classified as "very hard." This is among the highest in major U.S. cities. A softener essentially eliminates this hardness at the point of entry, before it reaches a single fixture in your home.
Most installations are completed in 2–4 hours. Our plumbers arrive with everything needed — no return visits required in normal circumstances. From your free water test to a fully working system, the typical timeline is the same week.
No. Our pricing is all-in — system, delivery, and installation included. We source the equipment on your behalf, so you never have to visit a warehouse or compare spec sheets. Everything is coordinated for you.
We install professional-grade systems built around the Clack WS1 valve, tested and certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI 44 for residential cation exchange water softeners. The media tank is a United Tanks vessel certified to NSF/ANSI 44, 61, and 372, and the resin is ResinTech CN8. Our Premium tier adds a carbon filter for chlorine and sediment removal. We recommend the system that matches your water profile and home size, not the one with the biggest margin.
Yes. Standard and Whole Home packages include a 1-year installation warranty. The Premium package includes a 2-year installation warranty. Equipment manufacturer warranties apply in addition to these coverage periods.
Minimally, if at all. A properly sized and installed softener typically causes a pressure drop of less than 1 PSI — unnoticeable in normal use. In homes where scale buildup has already restricted pipes, soft water can actually improve perceived pressure over time as the scale gradually clears.
